I'm hoping I can find something almost as good for Manitoba.

Just posting a few, in case you missed them.  The search engine is exact to the way the name is written on the registration.  For example, searching Guy S. Clarkson yields nothing.  Searching Guy Seddon Clarkson does.   It can be quite irritating, especially if the name is mistranscribed!

I see there were other Clarksons buried at Elmwood, some of them in nearby plots, and I wonder whether they were their children.  If so they would have been born less than 100 years ago, so it won't be easy to find out.

Birth/marriage/death announcements in newspapers frequently have misspelled names; many people had difficult handwriting, and I and J could easily be confused.

Yes, I was wondering about the "Guy Clarkson" that died 1954, thinking it could be a son of Guy Seddon Clarkson, but couldn't find an obituary. 

Speaking of Guy Seddon.... his military records are filed as Guy Siddon Clarkson, as that is what his signature does look like, but all typed mentions in the 85 pages are Seddon.
Poor guy took a rifle bullet through the knee, fracturing the bottom of the femur.
