Parents of Edward Wright (Right?) of Stroud

On the parish register entry I am looking at it only names Edward & Hester.
(They didn’t have marriage certificates in 1717)
Is it perhaps a marriage licence/bond?

Ah yes I think your right as it's a lovely certificate not a written record on a register.

Not that spelling is of huge importance, but the original image says “Wright” but whoever made up that transcription has written “Right”, which is not right. 

It’s always best to look at the originals if possible.

And I think the vicar/Rector was named Stephen Philips?
Am willing to be corrected on that.  See register at end of 1716 & 1717
