Crabtree, marriage and birth in Germany 1900/01
« on: Sunday 12 February 23 16:24 GMT (UK) »
Hi all, looking for a possible marriage in Germany for Sydney (Sidney) Robert Crabtree and Bertha Gillson about 1900 and a definite birth of their daughter Ethel Rose May Crabtree 1901. By 1911 they were back in England. Have found the rest of both families from the 1911 census but no UK marriage.
Have searched all the given links without success, any help greatly appreciated. Thanks, Pete

Not found anything yet - are the families from Yorkshire?

In 1921 she has a similar entry to the 1911 one.

1911 - Germany Resident

1921  - Resident Germany Dalwitz? Transcription has Dalritz. There is a Dalwitz near Walkendorf.
She is a patient in the Royal Infirmary, Sheffield
I attach a clip - maybe others can better make out what it says?

Does Resident in such a situation simply mean she was born in Germany?

To find a birth or marriage in Germany, you need to know exactly where it took place as all records are kept at the local level.
