Good afternoon everyone,
Could someone help me find information on Bénonie Goguet/Goyette (son of François Goguet and Rose Prud'homme)? He came to the US with two of his brothers (Toussaint and Gilbert). I already have all the information on Toussaint and I created a topic for Gilbert. Bénonie married Victoria Desmarais, but I don't know where, when and who are Victoria's parents. He might have had a first marriage with an Armina/Armida before 1867, but it is hard to confirm.
Toussaint and Gilbert mostly lived in Massachusetts, but Bénonie only lived there for a short period. He then lived in Cohoes, New York (where he died).
Here is what I was able to find on him and his family:
- He and his wife are buried in the Waterford Rural Cemetery
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VTWP-9J6 - He died in Cohoes on October 12th, 1895
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QG2Y-Z39L Census of a Belaine/Belona Goyette and an Armina/Armida that could be Bénonie:
- 1870
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M8K4-RKM - 1880
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MZCY-8T6I would need help in finding:
- Bénonie's marriage record(s)
- The name of his spouse(s)'s parents,
- The death records of his spouse(s)
- Birth, marriage and death records of his children
I am planning on ordering his death record from the New York state archives, but, if it is available online somewhere else, I would be interested.
ADDED:
I fogot to add that I found a 1900 census in Cohoes where Victoria, widow of Bénonie lives with her son Henry.
