Trying to think of all the options - perhaps data protection preventing us from seeing later info online or if abroad maybe Rebecca was known by her married name or one of its variants - which would make finding her difficult without a location?

I see that 76 rue de Picpus, 75012 Paris is now Rothschild Fondation Maison de Retraite et de Gériatrie, Paris. I wondered if it was a Jewish Hospital at the time and then saw this reference:

In the middle of the 19th century, James de Rothschild founded a hospital at 76 rue de Picpus which included a Hospice for the elderly. The hospital opened on 25 May 1852 and was initially opened to treat and welcome Jewish patients.

This might suggest that the following were medical staff (or patients) of some kind?

Gustave DREYFUS (born ca 1840);
Marx WOLFF (born ca 1870);
Arthur MEYER (born ca 1850); and
Salomon GINSBERGER (born ca 1840).

joger keep reminding us about your search - it would be great to get to the bottom of this story!

Further to my earlier post Gustave Dreyfus' death certificate in 1919 states sans profession and states that he died en son domicile rue de Picpus, 76 - he was born in Altkirck, Haut-Rhin.

I made some research about the Rothschild Hospital , here is a picture in 1906:
Here is a snippet explaining that the archives of this hospital before 1914 should still exist but aren't on line  or open to the public

Interesting - I’d read about pregnant mothers being lured there to have their baby and then both mother and child being sent to the concentration camps during WWII.
