Thats my man. I wanted to confirm that his father was a wine merchant based in London. There is a separate thread on this site about Charles Wright
I lived in Ardwick, Manchester in the early 1960s as a small child and much travelling of the world has now led me to want to know more about my roots. Carter, Beckwith, Connolly, Heron and Kelly are all names that form part of my family tree.

Yes, that his father and there are plenty of newspaper reports about him from 1832.

He thought he was the son of the Duke of York and even the son of God. Poor man was committed and died a few years later.

It is reported that he was earlier one of the Honorable Corps of Gentlemen who served at the Dukes funeral so he may have had some access to the Royals.
