Electoral Registers
« on: Thursday 16 February 23 19:26 GMT (UK) »
I am researching John Richard Wheeler who, at the time of his death, in 1955 was living in Clevedon.  I am trying to establish if he was living there in 1940 so does anyone have access to electoral registers for that period?

It is possible that there were no registers as they were not generally done during WW2

Not him I'm afraid, his wife died in 1928 whilst he was living at Aldershot Garrison.

That's him.  I know he was living in Devizes in the 1939 Register but I am trying to find out if he had moved to Somerset in 1940.
