Halsall Family of Liverpool
« on: Saturday 18 February 23 16:43 GMT (UK) »
Hi everyone, I'm just looking over a branch of my tree and wondered if anyone could help me to advance what I have (which isnt a lot really).

I have a small family unit - Thomas Halsall, a builder & wife Catherine. Catherine died in 1778 at her home on Folly Lane, Liverpool.

They had 4 children I am aware of; Uriah, Mary, Jenny & John.

I have info on Uriah (my direct link) but only the following baptism records for the others

Baptism Records
Mary Halsall
St Nicolas’ C of E Church, Liverpool (Now Our Lady and St Nicholas’):
Born 4th September 1772 Mary, Daughter of Thomas Halsall (J7.1), Bricklayer, Baptised 20th September 1772.

Jenny Halsall
Birth: 19th February 1776    Baptism: 17th March 1776, St Peter, Liverpool, England
Daughter of Thomas Hallsall   (J7.1)         Fathers Occupation: Labourer.
Register: Baptisms 1776 - 1779, Page 1, Entry 11 Source: LDS Film 1656377

John Halsall
Birth: 28th February 1777 at Folly Lane, St Peter, Liverpool, Lancashire, England
Baptism: Apr 30th, St Peter, Liverpool, England    Fathers Occupation: Bricklayer.
Register: Baptisms 1776 - 1779, Page 12, Entry 7 Source: LDS Film 1656377

Any other info on Thomas & Catherine or Mary, Jenny & John would be so great.

Thanks, Luke

Have you checked if the other children died in infancy or if they married?

How old was Catherine when she died & when did she & Thomas marry?

When was Thomas born?

Hi CaroleW,

I dont have a marriage for Thomas and Catherine. All I have is his name on the children's baptisms. For Catherine all I have is the burial which doesnt give an age.

Thanks, Luke

Don"t know whether you have already tried this site.

https://www.lan-opc.org.uk/

Many of the churches listed don't have burials for the late 1700's or early 1800's but do have a lot of marriages & baptisms which may help in your search

There’s a marriage at St Thomas Liverpool between Thomas Halsall and Catherine Pye on 16 February 1767.
