1914 burial Look Up please if possible.
« on: Sunday 19 February 23 22:37 GMT (UK) »
Have been going through some old notes and would like some help please.

Trying to find a death for Charles Cobb born 1852. I have an 1852 baptism record. A marriage record for 30.06.1878 at Stanground Parish Church plus 1881, 1891, 1901 and 1911 census details. I cant find a mention of him after 1911, hence my question.

The nearest match I can find for a death is for the September quarter of 1914 Peterborough.

Does anyone have access to information or records who could help with burial details please?

Many thanks Steve  ;)

Hiya Maureen,

You can`t help.........you certainly can help   ;D

I was appealing for information regarding a burial look up for Charles Cobb, if I was fortunate enough to be given that information I was then going to ask a follow up question about Fanny as I didn`t have a definitive death date for her either........but I have now.

Many thanks Maureen for taking the time to research and post your findngs  ;D

A few more details, in case of interest.

From the index for 1921, in Stangrounnd were:-

Fanny Cobb 1858 b Huntingdonshire
George Cobb 1885 b Huntingdonshire
Clara K Hounsham 1894 b Huntingdonshire
Harold A Hounsham 1891 b Cambridge
Kathleen Hounsham 1918 b Huntingdonshire

Clara K Cobb married Harold A Hounsham in Peterborough District Q3 1917

Three children: Kathleen 1918, Harold 1921 and Doreen 1925

They had moved to Buckinghamshire by 1939 and Clara Kate Hounsham died Q2 1871 in North Bucks District

I think George Cobb died unmarried in North Huntingdonshire District Q4 1950

Hi David,

Thank you very much for your reply and the details you enclose. I think you have replied previously to some of my posts  ;) and I appreciate your reply this time too as I didn`t have any of the details you listed, they are all new to me  ;D. Looks like I am going to be busy updating my tree.

I agree with Maureen, it is nice to have a good 'thank you'.

I didn't realise at first, but I have Fanny and Charles Cobb on my tree, although I am not related.

Fanny's cousin, Thomas Steels, married Fanny Strickson Ward, my second cousin twice removed, in Stanground in 1880.

I like to say thank you and acknowledge the time and effort people put in researching on my behalf before posting their findings  ;)

I must admit I haven`t done too much regarding Fanny Steels ( she is listed as Wife of Great Granduncle). I have her parents and 5 other siblings listed but that is all. I have been concentrating quite heavily on the "Paternal" side rather than the "Maternal" side.

Thanks again David for your help and assistance.
