Tracing a family member
« on: Monday 20 February 23 13:37 GMT (UK) »
Hi I wonder if anybody could help.

Im trying to trace family members for a friend as she has asked me to do her family tree for her. Anyway I am trying to trace these people

I have found a Teresa O'Hara born 4/3/1896 at home in Dublin she married a Joseph Mc Donnell born 2/8/1894 in Rotunda Hospital Dublin. But I am stuck on finding who Joseph parents are. Would love any help on him.

Also for Teresa O'Hara I have found her dad was a Stephen O'Hara & mum was Mary Anne Fitzsimons they married 19 feb 1882 St Andrew Dublin.

I Know Stephens dad is called John O'Hara & mum is Mary Ann would love help on these 2 people

And I know that Mary Anne Fitzsimons dad is called Patrick Fitzsimons & mum called Anne also would love help on these 2 please.

Thanks everybody

Here is the McDonnell/O’Hara marriage to help us

That has Joseph’s father as James.
Where do you have the birth details re the Rotunda hospital?

As heywood said, Joseph's father is James McDonnell, labourer.

There is a birth registration for a Joseph Bernard McDonnell, son of James McDonnell and Mary McDonnell, formerly Brady, which has a birth date of 2nd August 1893:

Although the father on here is a compositor.

It would be best to post where you have already searched e,g. the O’Hara information you have posted.

The birth found by Queenie looks good. Does your friend have further information re Joseph?

Agree with heywood.

Do you have the O'Hara family in 1901 census?
James Street East (South Dock, Dublin).
