All family are there and down as Williams.

Think if you are looking for William Arthur Williams, you have the wrong 1911 census.

Heywood I looked at the music man in 1901 I think the middle initial is a W
But not sure if that is the right couple

Maybe he went from surname WILLIAMS  in 1899 to ALTREE in 1901 then had plumped for double barrelled by 1911
I'm quite slow at looking up baptisms but maybe the clue  to potential name change will be in his childrens baptisms

William Arthur Williams is definitely the wrong man

I have information from the family from 1911 to emigration  * wife and children all travelled out as Altree Williams in 1915

This is his parents marriage

William Altree Williams m Susannah Leicester Sep qtr 1871 Altrincham
Volume:   8a Page:   263

1881 for family
William A. Williams   32
Susannah Williams   33
William A. Williams   6
Frederick A. Williams   2
Eva A. Williams   1
Arthur J. Leicester   23

There was no name change, for the William Altree Williams you have in 1911. Online info proves this?

The name Altree Williams, not hyphenated, appears in every generation back to the 1816 marriage on familysearch. Somebody has done a lot of research on this family, sources quoted, etc.

1905 frank was baptised as ALTREE
At Albert memorial church Manchester

Can't access the original for Charles edgar 1901 Birkenhead St Paul but Altree is included in his and his father's name before Williams

I wonder if he was a musician and in 1901 was trying his luck in teaching music for a while but it didn’t work out. :-\
