Hello all
Does anyone have any information on the family Alexander Taylor and spouse Martha McCann
  I have the following record

          Name           William Taylor
baptism date 30th Jan 1813
baptism Place   Ballymoney parish Antrim
Father     Alexander Taylor
Mother    Martha McCann

I also have a record from the Tithe Records for an Alexander Taylor at Carneatly Ballymoney in 1835.
Any information on the family would be very helpful.

Is the baptism date 1913?

Have you looked in

Griffiths Valuation

If the birth is supposed to be 1813 my first step would be to see if he married/died by using the Irish genealogy link.

 No, definately  1813
It is before official records. I also have from the same source.
        Name Alexander
gender male
spouse Martha McCann
child William
FHL Film number 908674
I am wondering if this just might be from the Seventh Day Aventist records in Salt Lake City US
They filmed many records in Ireland. The film number is the same for both records

The William that i am trying to link this to is the father of the James Taylor married in 1868
so is well before official records also he was a labourer so The Griffiths records are a no go too.
I think my best bet is someone that might have Alexander Taylor and Martha McCann in thier records.  Thats a bit like looking for a needle in a haystack.

It was you who quoted 1913. I was just clarifying. You might like to modify your OP.  :)

I would have a look in all of those links I made.  I would, for searching in Ireland use any/all of those links in preference to Anc$stry.  I use them together with Family Search.

Why do you think there will be no records for this family on https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/en/

Shanreagh,
thank you for that i have changed the date.
i have searched Bill McAfee's census for Ballymoney Presbyterian Church 1817, and many Taylors,
One Alexander at Carneatly, very likely the one I have in the tithe records but wife is Ann not Martha.
Would the "Ballymoney Parish" in my baptism record for William signify a Church of Ireland record ?

Hopefully you won’t mind me butting in. The 1813 baptism is likely to be Church of Ireland, if only because it’s the only denomination in Ballymoney with any records for that year. (Theirs start in 1807).

for reference - the film number given on that record is 908674, item 2 , the FamilySearch catalog entry for this has the following

"Item 2: Register of baptisms, births, marriages and burials in the parish of Ballymoney, County Antrim, 1807-1898
Author:   Church of Ireland. Parish Church of Ballymoney (Ballymoney, Antrim); Mettam, Z. (Zara K.)

the other items on the microfilm same include "Jakeman & Carver's directory and gazetteer of Herefordshire" , "First Donegore Presbyterian Church, Co. Antrim : baptisms ... marriages ..." and "An historical and topographical sketch of Knole in Kent : with a brief genealogy of the Sackville family"

Thank you Elwyn and athacliath62 for confirming the Church of Ireland record for William.
What i need now is a record of the marriage of  the Alexander and Martha McCann that should show Alexander's fathers name. Possibly between 1800 and 1813
