Irene Gertrude BISS - 2nd marriage? children? burial?

Good evening, everyone, from Adelaide, South Australia, where I am up late researching while trying to ignore the 31C heat at 10:30pm.

Hoping someone might help me, please.

Irene Gertrude ISAAC:
b. 9 Apr 1909, Carmarthen, Wales
m. 1941 to Evan Alexander BISS (he died serving in Italy, 1944)
d. 29 Oct 1968 (St Marylebone, London); address at time of death, according to probate records, was 14 Highgate, West Hill, Camden, London

Administration of will was in Llandaff in July (of 1969, I assume, and assume in Cardiff - her parents and grandparents were Welsh).

I have tried A*cestry, Find .. Grave and Bill'n Graves and cannot find a burial site for Irene. I'm also wondering if she had children or remarried, but am doubting this as she was still BISS at the time of her death and there is no mention of a beneficiary in the probate record.

Suggestions would be very welcome, please.

The will may give some clues as to any family.  Freebmd is not showing any Biss births with mothers maiden surname Isaac

Using the address from the probate record 14 Highgate West Hill and searching to see what Churches or Cemeteries were nearby on google map it showed 2 Churches  (2 min drive), 1 cemetery  4 mins drive from the address.

Copies of our registers up to 1975 are held at Camden Local Studies and Archives Centre they may be consulted for free. Note that you will probably still need to pay for a location search to find the grave. They recommend that you try a free search on www.deceasedonline.com before paying for a grave search….

Perhaps someone looking at this post maybe visiting the Archives Centre and can take a look for you - I tried searching Highgate West & East Cemetery https://www.findagrave.com/cemetery/638895/highgate-cemetery-west but nothing for Biss 

Perhaps Irene may have been cremated approx 11 mins by car from address is Golders Green Crematorium, approx. 15 mins  from address by car is Islington Crematorium Chapel also approx same distance is Islington & St Pancras Cemetery and East Finchley Cemetery

Nothing shows up on Deceased Online; I have emailed the crematoriums and cemeteries provided by Ladyhawk in case they can advise of other search possibilities.

A will would definitely help and thanks for the suggestion; I'm holding off at the moment as this one is something of a tangent - I don't really need to know, but I really want to know!

Following your directions, I got in touch with the cemeteries etc. you suggested and I have just received a response from Golders Green:

She was scattered on our crocus lawn, section 4A, on 17th November 1968, as [was] Mrs Maud Myra Isaac, who was scattered there on 21st November 1962.

Maud Myra Isaac is her mother.

However, this has led to another puzzle ...

According to the National Probate Calendar:

BISS, Irene Gertrude of 14 Highgate West Hill Camden London died 29 October 1968. Administration (with Will) Llandaff 2 July. GBP 14168

However, when I use this info to search GOV.UK Find a Will, I get no results.

So, no will that I can find. What am I doing wrong, please?

Can't find any death notices, either, which is driving me nuts, but I'll focus on the will for now ...

When searching the GRO for the probate, the death year is the problem, they seem to have used the the probate instead of the death  year in the search.

If you simply put in the name BISS and 1969 the probate year where it asks for the death year, leave everything else blank it comes up.

Sometimes less is more when inputting information on a search, also widening  the  year also can bring results if  there has been a typo or other error.
