Hello, I am new here.

Please may I ask for some help.

My aunt Margaret Lilly (my Grandma's sister) had a baby called Francis. She couldn't look after him so a family unofficial adoption took place and the baby was given to Margarets mothers sister who couldn't have children (Julia Taylor nee Croghan)

When Francis was married he married someone called Nora Burke in about 1968

I am lost on him from there as the family all lost touch. He died and is buried with Julia in Eston Cemetery

I know he had 4 children.. Peter, Susan, Lynn and David.

I am wanting to track them down and keep coming to a standstill.

I cannot find his birth records either. A rumour was he was down as Francis Burke (his grandmother's maiden name-his mothers mothers maiden name)

Any help much appreciated

He married as Taylor but what year did he die?

These are presumably Margaret's parents?

Births March qtr 1946 Surname is Lilley - not Lilly

Francis Lilley - mothers maiden name Lilley  Middlesborough 9D 788

Death reg 2011 shows birthyear as 1945 so he must have been born at the end of 1945 & birth registered after Christmas
