Date and opinion needed please - Harry Laud/Land

Looking for opinions on a date please from Jim and Gadget. His name on the back says Harry Laud or Land. Do use it for practise if you wish, but be aware that I won't be using any of them

What a little cutie 

I'm torn with the dating though. He has button boots and a broderie anglaise ?? over dress. It suggests Edwardian but could be a decade or so earlier. I hope Jim can help.

I have a pic of my Mum in about 1913 with a similar over dress but she had little clogs

I thought early Edwardian too, it's a boy Gadget, it says either Laud or Land on the back but not sure. The name seems to change between the two.

I've just written a post about the back which I'd not seen before. This suggests  very much late Edwardian to early 1910s. It's not there now. I think I must have looked at something else and not pressed 'post'

Thanks for that, children are not easy to date and there is no stamp box.

I've found a Harry Laud b.c. 1908/1909, Hull. In Sculcoates later.

I looked for advertisements etc from the studio address. I found that G W Batty (prob. born Hull 1879) owned a shop at 266 Hessle Road from the mid 1900's, with various names: “Batty's All Sorts Shop”, “Batty's”, “Batty's Only Shop”, selling housewares, secondhand furniture, and the like, and by 1908 “Batty's Picture Gallery", and from May 1909, "Standard Photo Co.”.

In Feb 1914 there seems to have been a bankruptcy or debt sale, and by 1919 the address is selling musical instruments.

Going by the adverts then this picture must have been taken in the narrow window 1909 to 1914.
