Going back to your original question, I believe the relevant parish registers are held in the London Metropolitan Archives. However the LMA say that all these PRs have been digitised (at least for the period you are interested in) and are available through Ancestry, which I assume you have already checked.

In case you haven't seen it, John Evans Still married Louisa Sophia Waghorn on 27th December 1835 in Chiselhurst.

Two children in the index:
Sarah Ann Still, mmn Waghorn, Q1 1939 in Lewisham District.
Louisa Still, mmn Wagghorn, Q1 1840 in Lewisham District.

     Hi DCB, thanks for that I'm working my way through these familes, got stuck
     with a Crew marrying a Crew and being widows etc also is not helping, but
     I will build that family together a bit later after dinner, but many thanks also

He is not a brother to your James but there must be a connection -cousins perhaps. All in the same trade, children with similar naming patterns.

                 Hi amondg..

               Wow you have been busy, Ware had apparently a very great many
         brick works , I came from Herts and never heard about that, I new Beds                                 
         had a major brick fields area alas all gone now, I do not know were the
         Crew dynasty originated from at mo but with the help of all you folks, its
         starting to make sense now, if I can get back far enough and start to get
         a good base to come forward from and see who married who brilliant what.
         I'll try to put the families together and it will all start to make sense why
         a lot of them moved to south London, well I hope so...
