Thank you for such a speedy reply.  I had wondered about the leading letter being a "t", particularly in regards to William Cochrane's abode.  I looked at the "t" on "tennor" in the line above and it seems to fairly resemble the leading letter in the abode name.  I also looked at the word "I" in the second snippet and thought the residence for James Cochrane may have started with an "I".  Although "Ian" is a Scots name I though it odd that the residence would be "Iandilmur".  So, I am happy to have your advice and the link to the map.  I think you may be correct in "Tandlemuir" given the phonetic spelling used in the 17th century.  Thank you once again, for your valuable contribution.
