Commonwealth War Graves Commission are appealing for blood relatives of Chief Petty Officer - H M Coastguard, - Service No 110039 -died 23/8/1916 - buried Hythe Cemetery. Dibden.

The private memorial marking the grave of Chief Petty Officer Whitten no longer provides adequate commemoration.  The Commission are in the process of producing a new headstone to mark his grave.
