1915 Barrow in Furness marriage
« on: Saturday 25 February 23 18:21 GMT (UK) »
Hi
Is anyone able to look up the marriage between Joseph Harrison and Doris Lewis at St John's in Barrow in Furness in 1915?
I have 2 Joseph Harrisons born about the same time and can solve this problem if I know the father's names.
Thanks.
Steve

Food for thought.

Couple of anc trees. One suggests :

1891 Preston Quarter Whitehaven

Margaret Harrison 35 John Harrison   34
Sarah E Harrison 14 Mary E Harrison   11
Tom Harrison   9 John Mc L Harrison   7

I don't know if you know about any potential kids but I've found a Joseph Robinson Harrison born in 1888 in  Whitehaven Cumberland with wife Doris in 1921 living with Doris's family. They have 2 kids, Joseph W b1915 and  and Elsie b1919. Following censuses he appear to have been a hand driller and his father is a William Harrison b1853 in Whitehaven also. His mother is Hannah b1854.

Was it one of these two Joseph’s born around the same time?

Thanks everyone but I was looking to get Joseph Harrison's fathers name from the 1915 marriage to Doris Lewis which I am sure about so that I could be sure about which Joseph Harrison to research. My gut feeling is the Joseph Harrison born in 1889 but it would be helpful to have the fathers name off the marriage record.

You probably need to purchase the marriage certificate, there would be no details on line.
