Thanks emelton I've used that for baptisms before
Was trying to remember where I'd seen them
Found  on Ancestry Alice and John HILTON baptised together  * sept 1858
Leigh chapel of Atherton :Manchester

Don't think they were twins .

Yes I think the lancs records will be easier to search than  ancestry

I'm adding my findings to first post as I go along so it will all be in one place

I will look at the lancs records when I finish searches on Ancestry.
There are some very well researched trees with photos too
I've just found Peggy m Butterworth
James m Halliwelll

What I'm looking for is anyone them who could have taken in a child of unmarried sister

It's a lot to go through will do another hour then take a break . If anyone is descended from these families and had taken DNA test please pm me

Apologies for typo yes I've corrected to 1891 census

Great finds .so  Maggie is Alice's daughter

The eldest brother William has twin grandaughters with him in 1911 less than a month old
Louisa + H Hilton
Not clear which of his children is the parent

Looks like this family stuck together

Witnessing each others weddings

I came across Peggy BUTTERWORTH in her 70s with her siblings

I'm very slow at getting findings back from computer shoebox apologies
