Michael GALVIN WW1 1919
« on: Tuesday 28 February 23 12:19 GMT (UK) »
MICHAEL GALVIN died on 6 April 1919 after serving in WW1 as a Shoeing Smith. Aged 28, Michael was the son of James and Ellen Galvin of Capparoe , Kenmare. Michael's father was a blacksmith as were two of his brothers.
I have been unable to locate any burial records for Holy Cross Parish for that period. Does anyone know where Michael Galvin is buried?
Any help would be appreciated.

Have you checked local newspapers to see if a death notice indicates where he was buried?

Templenoe New Cemetery seems to be the nearest graveyard.

There's also the Templenoe Old Burial Ground.

While it doesn't get you any closer to knowing where he was buried, have you seen his entry in the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Book of Remembrance: https://www.cwgc.org/find-records/find-war-dead/casualty-details/75467664/michael-galvin/
