Thanks Jon ... it's the examination record I really need to get, if it still exists.

His life is only of interest to me insofar as it bears on my relatives ... and it's the examination that's going to tell me about that.

I don't think they have books then.
Packets, or files. There are 20,000 unindexed images on ancestry of Islington exams, 1892-1917.
If there ever was one, finding it would be, well, not impossible (it has been done), but very difficult.

George is the son of John Streat and Jane nee Holmes married 23 June 1821 St Mary Reading.

George was bap. 14 March 1824 St Mary Reading. The family then moves to London/Middlesex

John James bap. 3 September 1826 St Giles Cripplegate (born 13 July 1826) father a Cooper

Mary Ann bap 25 August 1833 St Giles Cripplegate

Jane Maria bap, 26 February 1837 St Giles Cripplegate, (born 29 June 1837) address Norfolk Place -father - Cooper

Joseph bap 28 July 1839 St Giles Cripplegate, address Norfolk Place - father - Cooper (also BMD 1839)
