Schmans Family
« on: Friday 03 March 23 13:43 GMT (UK) »
I wonder if anyone has any good Canadian search tips.  I have recently found that a child Lovell Harry Schmans was born 14 Nov 1913 in Saskatchewan.  He appears with his parent Constance Lily (or Lillian) and Harry (or Henry) Myles Schmans in the 1916 census in Souris Manitoba.

But checking all my usual online resources I can't seem to find any further info on this family.  has anyone else got any ideas?

Roger

Wonder if the surname called be spelt slightly differently.  Schmaus ??

Just posting this for interest at the moment -  needs further investigation -  obituary which seems to have the name Lovell in it ?
Henry would appear to be the right age.  Predeceased by a father Henry in 1940 ????
Might be red herring but you never know.

You could be right.  I think I found that spelling in a Saskatchewan birth record.  But I also found the Schmans spelling in a Hendersons Street Directory for Manitoba in 1951.  It also had the name Edith in brackets.  So this looks like the right person.

Thanks
