Could someone who has access to images of the Somerset parish records please have a look at the marriage of John GRIFFITH in Minehead on 26 February 1703/4?

The FindMyPast transcript has his bride's name as Ann SLGRE

I wouldn't have a CLUE how to pronounce that ... and I'm guessing that the hand is very difficult to construe. Nevertheless, I'd be grateful for any attempt to identify what the name ACTUALLY is ...

Ancestry has this record with image. I put in exact date you provided so hopefully it is the one you seek. I don't have a subscription to open it.

Thank you Comberton ... Slape certainly looks like a name which could be mis-transcribed as Slgre so I'll run with that for now and see where it takes me.

The surname of the bride below bleeds into Anns surname on image.
So a Sla..
FreeREG has it as Slape also.

Slape is definitely a surname as it appears 1663-1795 in Minehead on FreeREG ( a couple as Sleape)
