Samuel(l) CLARKSON - East Kirkby

I'm really struggling to find out anything much about Samuel(l) CLARKSON beyond this:

Samuell Clarkson bapt 27 Jan 1748 East Kirkby, Lincoln
Son of William & Mary Clarkson


His parents were William CLARKSON (1704-1790) and Mary WEBSTER (1706-1748). His son was Robert CLARKSON (1774-1845).

I've looked through Lincolnshire Family History Society lists of marriages and deaths, but have found no trace of him beyond the baptism. Geneaology sites have not turned up anything else either.

I've tried variants of the surname like CLAXON, CLAXTON, CLARKESON, but no joy.

Does anyone have any ideas on where else to look to track down the elusive Samuell? The family were largely blacksmiths.
