1841 CHIPPING NORTON
« on: Wednesday 07 September 05 21:11 BST (UK) »
Hi there
I'm looking for the JOYNER or JOINER families in 1841/51 census of Chipping Norton. Details are as follows:

William JOYNER b. 1797 (est) in Churchill
his wife Jane (nee COX) b. 1805 (est) prob. in Chipping Norton
Kids: Caroine (1827), John (1828), Ruben (1835), Mark (1838), Mary Ann (1843), Levi (1849)

Also, If Churchill is included in the census then I'm looking for William's parents and any of his siblings, parents are Robert & Mary JOYNER (b.1757), siblings are John (1804), Thomas (1807) and Richard (1815).

many thanks
Lewy

Hi Lewy ...

I don't have the 1841 census, but this looks like William's parents' marriage on the OFHS's Marriage Index:

13 OCT 1795 - Robert JOYNER (carpenter) to Mary HICKNER at Churchill

There are quite a few other JOYNER marriages on the index with Churchill/Chipping Norton connections, some as far back as the late 1500s.  I would be happy to send them to you if you think they would be of any use.
