Lund, Curry of Knaresborough and Blackfriars
« on: Saturday 04 March 23 18:08 GMT (UK) »
Mary Lund, daughter of William Lund and Mary Andrews of Knaresborough, married George Curry of Broadway, Blackfriars, London in 1824. I have not found a birth record for him, about 1800. They and two sons are in the 1841 census with Mary recorded as 'Ann'. Later they emigrated to Natal, South Africa, and remained there.
If anyone knows of George Curry's birthplace, birth and death dates , I'd be very interested.

They married 3.1.1825 as the last banns were only read on 2.1.1825.

In 1841 - Both George & Ann (Mary) are shown as not born in county.    Where did you get "of Blackfriars" from

George is 40 in 1841 but ages from 16yrs onwards were rounder down to the nearest 5yrs so he could have been between 40-44

When did he die & how old was he?

I don't know George Curry's age or year of death (in South Africa).
The 'Blackfriars' detail was taken from his son George's baptism certificate.
I had noticed 'not born in county', and knew that Mary ('Ann') Lund was from Knaresborough area.

Thank you for looking.

Thank you.   The baptism gives the address in 1825 as Broadway, Georges occupation is a Hatter.  I was thinking from your post that you thought George senior was born Blackfriars.
