Baby at 14?

Thomas Ellis born 1793 son of Jane was illegitimate. The only Jane that fits is the one born 1779 meaning she was 14! Would you agree? Wellington as usual.

Where have you found Jane's age?

Presume you mean 1779.  How do you know it’s the right Jane Ellis?  Are you assuming it’s her purely because it “fits” with Wellington?

She seems to have married a Maurice Ellis. Cant see any children, maybe a marriage of convenience?

The marriage between Maurice Ellis and Jane Ellis took place in 1814. Jane's age looks to be 27 if I am reading it correctly
