Date of photo, can it be Christmas John, 1875-1949, Rhondda

Hi, trying to help a family with their tree and one of them has come up with this photo. Could this photo be Christmas (i’m useless at determining age / time period).

According to all the relevant censuses, his marriage and burial records, he was a collier or hewer, yet he appears in several trade directories as a china dealer. He was known to drive a trap and do deliveries and take passengers. A busy man.

This was likely to be his son, died aged 24 in 1925

and possibly (hopefully) Christmas' wife Mary, who died in 1926 aged 50. Do the ages look possible, and any likeness of son to parents?

If the photos of (hopefully) Christmas and Mary can be improved that would be great. Nothing complex, just the marks removed.

Thanks jim1, so would you say the older couple are around 45-55 in the photos? Looks possible to me 😀
