OK, that takes that burial out of the equation.
I am looking for Hester Bagnall that married Thomas Sherman 22 May 1732 at St Brides Fleet Street, she of St Dunstan in the West and he of St Sepulchre. I know that is a bit out of the district but bear with me.
I have identified six possible women born from 1690 to 1730:
1. Hester Bagnall 1698 Bermondsey Southwark but she died the same year
2. Hester Bagnall 1702 Bermondsey Southwark sister to the above
3. Hester Bagnall 1705 Cheddleton Staffordshire
4. Hester Bagnall 1712 St Lawrence Jewry daughter of Samuel of Barlaston Staffordshire and
married Thomas Mills in 1742
5. Easter Bagnall 1716 Richmond Surrey would be too young but married Richard Gurney of
Isleworth at Fleet Prison 1736
6. Hester Bagnel 1717 Tortworth Gloucestershire would be too young but married William
Dimmery at Cromhall 1750.
So that leaves #2 from Bermondsey and #3 from Cheddleton to eliminate.
I am working on #3 at the minute as there are other Bagnall's at both St Dunstan in the West and St Bride at this time and I also know that Bagnall's from the Leek, Barlaston, Cheddleton area often came to London for events and returned making it really hard to clear this one away.
Apologies for taking this away from the original topic but it explains why I am looking.
Cheers, Colin
