So Mary Croll may have married a Mr Noble or a Mr Simpson?

The Mary Simpson Noble born 2.6.1879. Her parents were John Noble and Janet Christie Croal who married St Andrew's Edinburgh 23.11.1877. Family appear in 1881/91/1901 in Tweedmouth.

So could be a different family, its getting abit muddled.  The Agnes Smith I found on ancestry was Agnes Smith reg date 1905
Quarter April-June
Auckland Durham
v 10a
p277
that's wrong as mother's surname is Barrows on the GRO

I cannot find Mary in 1901 either.

Helina, I have to go out for a couple of hours but a couple of questions.

1. Was William Horler born 29.3.1885 Glous.
2 Do you know when and where he died
3. Do you know when Mary died.

1921 Mary Horler (nee Noble) is 44 years 6 months old -birth circa 1877  Born ROSEWELL Scotland

6 years older than William

Agnes (Smith) 17 years 5 months born Jarrow

So the 1881 Mary Noble is not yours.

**River Tyne Lass gave you the birth registration for Agnes Smith in South Shields 1904 mmn Noble

amondg, I never trust trees on An* but one does suggest William was actually born 29.3.1885 and bap 23.4.1885. I asked the question as I am always suspicious of 1939 war register birthdate's but there is a William Horler born 29.3.1883 living with an Elizabeth and a John Nicholas. This John would appear to be a John Robert Nicholas born 1911 no mmn.

I don't use family trees either.

1901 Census Lasswade Scotland

Robert Simpson 78
Alexander Noble 24 grand son
Robert Noble 22 grandson
*Mary Noble 19 grand daughter
Agnes Noble 14 grand daughter
Maggie Noble 12 grand daughter
---------

This would be where the name Simpson comes in.
