James Baker, Can you help date this photo?

This photo is said to be of James Baker, b.1837 in Bristol, a mariner. Judging by the age of the man pictured, and his clothes, could this be the correct attribution?

Looks around 30.

I would agree not someone born 1837.  Looks older than 30ish to me.

Another of those   men wearing collar bar beneath their tie photos (say 1918-mid 1920s) . They seem to be cropping up quite often on the board at the moment.
