Marriage record states that she was divorced so I still have no idea what happened to her 1st husband or the kids

Can't see an emigration record for him

The couple married 1932 in Lanchester, Durham and a daughter born there Mar.1933.   Looks like another daughter was born 1935 at Rothesay - these 2 girls married in Renfrew in 1956 and 1957.

First born daughter died 2003 Glasgow (her husband in 1985 New Kilpatrick).

A Peter Pawlak, fishmonger, 186 Muir St, Motherwell, was invited to Princess Elizabeth's wedding along with his wife and daughter, Wanda (4 1/2) according to the Motherwell Times of 21-11-1947.

The same paper (3-12-1943) gives a report of a talk given by a Peter Pawlak to the Motherwell branch of the Scottish POW Association. Mentions his escape from POW camp in Hungary.

I wonder if he is related to Victor Pawlak, 34, a Polish subject, training centre manager, 13 Hope Street, Motherwell. He was fined £3 for assaulting three men in the Royal Hotel, Brandon Street, Motherwell, on 11-12-1944. One of his victims, punched in the face and kicked on the body, was Almo Tedeschi, restaurateur.
