COVID TESTS
« on: Saturday 11 March 23 01:42 GMT (UK) »
I have testing kits that expire 23rd March 2023, the liquid in the file seems to be very low, in fact I think not enough to test with, does this normally happen?, if so to buy them and not use them all is a complete waste of money, they are almost £10 for a box, any explanation would help.

We used the last of our tests last year but have no idea of the expiry date.

We tried three tests and non produced any results as two of vials did not have enough in them to create a drop, the third had one drop but failed the tester failed to display the control line.

Hope this helps

Yes don't use beyond expiry date - get rid.  The liquid in the phials evaporates and will not give accurate result.

Don't stockpile but purchase when necessary.

If you are in the category that will get sent a free test pack then wait for that.

If our Covid tests are typical, they expire 2 years after manufacture.  Both dates are on the box and also on some of the material inside.
Ours were about 15 months old, and the liquid did seem to have dwindled, but it still gave a positive result last week  >:(

Thank you everyone, going  to do another test this morning , if I have got covid I have no idea where I got it, masked up and sanitised  all the time, except last Friday at a church service, silly me,   it seems it is around .
We both had Covid last november, didn't want it again but we get no choice, it seems to mimic a very bad cold.

Keep well, stay safe

I got Covid at Christmas 2021, no idea how, we had taken all precautions.

Delivered groceries, all packaging disinfected outside before bringing them in.

Mail left for a week before opening outside

No crowds, family tested prior to visits

Yet I still got the damn virus which turned into long Covid

Didn't you mention that the passenger in your car at the time of the accident had got covid LM?  Or the person you take shopping - maybe one and the same?

Wearing a mask is unlikely prevent you from getting it, but it will help to help to control the spread if you’ve already got it.

Yes, my passenger found put on Wednesday but I hadn't seen her since Friday and I wasn't well last night, last  time I got it it was within 3 days, will test today and see what happens.

The accident you  mentioned Pheno, the other party is putting the blame on me, seems by admitting  it at the time he might have felt coerced,  COERCED,  what a laugh, it was all amicable  at the time, me a grey haired lady getting  out of my car to walk some yards to him who just stood  by his car, I bet he felt relieved I  wasn't a big burley bloke.

I think Covid is with us for sometime, not going to go on about it, it is becoming   "just life" sadly
