I have just find information that my grandfather was in the Machine Gun Corps. his name was William Barratt Born 1890 from Stapleford Notts.
How can i find more details please.

There are about 20 William Barratt's/Barrett's MGC so can you give more details
such as any middle name or service number.
While we wait there are 2 William Barratt's (no middle name)
1 was born 1887 so not him which leaves:
145483 Pte. William Barratt previously 28756 S.Lancs. Regt.
Is this him?
Assuming yes I found this man 145494 transferred to MGC April 1918 so
this William Barratt would have too as numbers were sequential.
