I have hit a brick wall
« on: Wednesday 15 March 23 20:15 GMT (UK) »
Hi there.  Would anyone like to help me find what happened to David Henry Williams & his twin brother Thomas Edward Williams please? They were born on 15 Feb 1854 in Liverpool.  They were with their parents & siblings in 1861.  In 1871 David was with the family but Thomas was a patient in the Southern Hospital at the Liverpool Workhouse. Their occupations were Riggers.  I haven't been able to locate them after 1871.  Many thanks in advance - I know many of you like a puzzle   :)

Who were their parents? A Tree on Ancestry has David marrying in 1872.  Marriage cert shows him just as David - occ book keeper  father was John occ gardener

I’m not convinced about the accuracy of the tree Rigger to book keeper??

I personally think David never changed careers. Believe he first married Jane Elizabeth Scott 1.4.1876

The marriage was in 1872 and that David was a book keeper.  By 1881 Jane was a widow.

Thanks all. Their parents were John and Ann. John was a waiter at Moorfields in Liverpool then later became a porter. He was born in Mold, Flintshire. Ann was born Jones. I have come across david Williams marriage to Rosina however the 1939 DOB is not right. The twins brothers moved to Cefn y Bedd near Wrexham by 1881 and were miners.

I haven't been able to locate them after 1871.

Which is it?

I can't see them in 1881, can you post a census reference?

The twins BROTHERS Alfred George Williams and William Ernest Williams were living in Cefn y Bedd in 1881. Yes, that’s the correct census you mention.
