Daniel Logan Census 1871
« on: Friday 17 March 23 22:15 GMT (UK) »
Having trouble locating an 1871 census record for DANIEL LOGAN.

1841:
Arley Street, Liverpool
Daniel Logan   50 Labourer, Ireland
Anne Logan   50 - Ireland
Anne Logan   40 - Ireland
Anne Logan   19 Seamstress Lancashire
John Logan   15 - Lancashire
Daniel Logan   13 - Lancashire

His wife Anne died in 1847, and Daniel claimed she was 64! I don't think they knew how old they were.

1851:
Gildarts Gardens, Liverpool
Daniel Logan   70  Head  widow   Labourer Ireland
Anne Logan   55  Sister single    - Ireland
Mary Finn   3           Niece - Liverpool                [Mary was his granddaughter]

1861:
15 Raymond St, Liverpool
John Finn      33   head  Labourer, Ireland
Catherine       33  wife  - Liverpool
Mary           4  dau. - Liverpool               [this is not the same Mary as in 1851! Daniel had two
Alice          2 dau. - Liverpool                  granddaughters named Mary Finn from two different
Margaret   4 mo dau. - Liverpool             daughters!]
Daniel Logan   Father-in-law 62 Labourer, Ireland
Bernard           Uncle 60 Labourer, Ireland
Catherine Finn Niece 11 Liverpool

In 1872 his address was Maguire Street.

Would be grateful if anyone could provide any help!  :)

This could possibly be him

Liverpool Mail, 16 October 1861.

On the 10th instance, at his residence, 15 Raymond Street, Mr Daniel Logan, faithful servant to Messrs Thomas Lutwyche and Son, of this town.

Thank you for posting! This is bizarre. This does seem to be him. I tried to order the death certificate for DANIEL LOGAN, Dec Quarter 1861, but the Liverpool Registrar told me that the details I had given did not match what was on the certificate.  ???

Edit: Will order the certificate via the GRO. The above death must be correct, given the address.
