Samuel Gould marriage 1825-1830 Southwark area wife Jane (unknown)

Hi all, this is a brick wall for many trees. Samuel Gould 1 Jan 1807 marries Jane (unknown) in the Southwark area between 1825 and 1830. Their first child Samuel William is baptised  St George the Martyr, Southwark 1829 surname entered as Gold. The family appear on 1841 to 1881 but no marriage found. Jane dies 1886 and Samuel 1888 both would have been born 1807. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks, Pete

Have you checked there for mother's maiden name of the children born after 1837?
eg. Edwin , Margaret Ann & Henry?   (Aged 10, 4 & 2 respectively in 1851).

Also, I note in the 1841 census 'Jane' is down as 'Ann'.   is it possible she went by both?

It's Samuel Williams Gold.

Following the trail of Edwin Gould born 1841, his mother's maiden name seems to be Kitchen.

There's a marriage of Samuel Williams and Jane Kitchen at Holy Trinity Newington on 24 December 1827.

So did Samuel Williams change his name to Gold/Gould circa 1828/9?
