Could not find what happened to Margaret Mcmanus, or the marriage between John Mcmanus and Ellen Pemble nee Cassidy

This appears to be the family in the 1930 census. They are living in Lackawanna, NY, the same place where Margaret died in 1933. John is listed as Michael J McManus. Was John's given name Michael? Or is the Michael he is listed as his middle name?

According to the marriage image on SP he was aged 22, parents William Gragham McManus & Charlotte Nee' Green. Birth for a John McManus 1900 Govan mmn Green, so no Michael!
