Does this 1906 passenger list have him going to a friend called Mrs Kenyon in New Bedford? Difficult to be sure it is for him but in the whether been in the US before does it say 1905 and 2 years?

Added if you do an address search for 14 Newark Street in 1921 you will see someone else in the household!

The passenger list does say he’s visiting someone called Mrs Kenyon, 20 Vial St New Bedford, Massachusetts, perhaps this is a lodging House ?

Not sure about the 1905 2 years either it’s not clear who it belongs to as the lines don’t match up which isn’t very helpful. I’ll look for another crossing for that period.

There is another passenger list from 1951 for  Emily aboard the Brittanic leaving Liverpool 17 Nov 1951. ( Her last UK address is again showing as 17 Moor House, Shelf, Nr Halifax.). She arrived on the same ship in Liverpool on 7 Aug.

I would imagine with the early visits that someone would have to stay to look after the children?

Still can’t find the marriage between Emily Person/Pearson and John William Johnson. I did however see a comment on rootstech that they met in a boarding house and married, I’ll have to try find it again as my battery went last night before I had finished saving the comment on here. Typical….

I’m back to looking today and will hopefully find something between 1906 and 1910 when the USA Census has them together married.
