HOTMAIL ACCOUNT
« on: Wednesday 22 March 23 17:55 GMT (UK) »
I have an old hotmail account that I used for FH research when I first started out some years back.  I mislaid the password and it has just come to light but when I try to get to the account, I am just directed to Outlook.

There is some web activity saying to open the new Outlook account and under settings, there should be an option to link the old account. I couldn't find this.

Has anyone had experience of this please?

Many thanks

Hotmail migrated to Outlook some time ago, however your old hotmail a/c should work at the login stage.

Hi

Tks for the reply Pheno.

I have sent myself a test email to my old account and it arrived ok in the new Outlook one.  Still not located the old emails and folders though.

How is Outlook set up POP or IMAP? IMAP if set up correctly will ensure that all apps/programs using that account are synched.

If you log in to the webmail version of your account can you see your old emails and folders?
