Help with Norwegian birth
« on: Saturday 25 March 23 14:10 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for a birth certificate for Ruth Reinertsen born 1933 in Farsund Norway.  I cannot find anything on the Norwegian site (digital archives). Her middle name is Borgny. I am also looking for her parents.  She has a sister named Lilly who was also born in Norway.  Ruth emigrated to the US in the 1950's.   If someone can point me in the right direction that would be very helpful!  I have been on ancestry and family search and can't find anything.  Thank you! The records for 1933 are unfortunately protected. I recommend contacting them here and ask for help.

Hi Ian,
Thank you. I saw that they were protected as well-I am not sure why!  Thank you for the link to the other Norwegian Community.  I'll try there as well. My dad was born in Norway and I did not have a problem getting his birth certificate-but he was 1922.
Thank you again!
Erica
