Thomas and Sarah
« on: Sunday 26 March 23 12:24 BST (UK) »
Morning all. I,m trying to find details of the Thomas Ellis b1756 Shifnal to Anthony and Eleanor. I think he married Sarah Butler 1778 but i cant see any children? There are also 2 likely deaths from Shifnal. One says b1754- d1792 and the other d1789. I think Sarah died 1794. Any details on the deaths or children? Thanks in ad.

Breaking this down:

Morning all. I,m trying to find details of the Thomas Ellis b1756 Shifnal to Anthony and Eleanor.

Thomas the son of Anthony & Eleanor Ellis of the Wyke was born 28th February and baptised 2nd [illegible]

I think he married Sarah Butler 1778 but i cant see any children?

Thomas Ellis of Shiffnal [sic] married Sarah Butler of the parish of Willington on 30th October 1778 in Shifnal. Both made their mark. Witnesses were John Price and Edward Tranter.

There are also 2 likely deaths from Shifnal. One says b1754- d1792 and the other d1789. Any details on the deaths or children?

The one who died in 1789 was the son of Samuel & Margaret Ellis of Oakengate. Could Thomas and Sarah have moved away?

The 1792 death was of Thomas Ellis of Oakengate, collier, buried aged 38 years.

I think Sarah died 1794.

If it is the Sarah buried in Shifnal on 22 Jun 1794, then this Sarah was wife of Samuel Ellis, tailor.
