William Mason 1726.
« on: Sunday 26 March 23 20:53 BST (UK) »
Trying to find information on William Mason. Born 1726 in Eastby, Yorkshire, England. It is near Skipton. He married Elizabeth Lowcock in 1749 in Skipton. I am trying to find out his death date and subsequent burial. I would have thought he would be buried like so many of his kin in Eastby or in Embsay ? but I can only find a death in 1770 and that in Kirk Hammerton ? William is my 6th great grandfather. Any help would be great !

Thanks Sue.

Have you had a look at http://www.wharfegen.org.uk
Births and deaths for the whole family at Eastby, sadly no death date/burial for William.

Thanks Calverly Lad for that info. I will try the website, but it seems that William might have died and been buried elsewhere.

Thanks Calverley Lad !

It's so frustrating when you find so many with the same name ! My grandad was called Thomas Bladen and there are loads of Thomas Bladens from the same area ! Thank goodness I have his birth certificate.
