Hi everyone,

I'm researching the family line of Fenton Fawcett (b. Warcop, 1800). I have his parents down as William Fawcett (1753) and Mary Fenton (1756). William and Mary married in 1775 and had James and William in 1781, 1782 in Sandford/Warcop. The large gap between the three siblings makes me question as well as Mary's being 44 in 1800, but I guess this is still possible? Just wondering if anyone who has the time could help me out double-checking this.

Best wishes
Samuel

Most of my female ancestors had their last child around 45-46, so 44 seems very plausible to me.

I think you are missing a few children? Here are the children born to a William & Mary Fawcett in Warcop in the late 1700s/early 1800s.

William (1776)
James (1781)
William (1782)
Richard (1785)
John (1786) - mother named as Mary Fenton
Elizabeth (1796) - mother named as Mary Fenton
Fenton (1800) - mother named as Mary Fenton

Quite a big gap between John and Elizabeth, but perhaps Mary was unwell for a time? Who knows...
