If your hunch turns out to be correct, here is the marriage entry in Galway for Patrick and Mary on 10 October 1921 see next post:

Marriage was actually on 10 November 1921. It's been mistranscribed on IrishGenealogy and has been reported.

Patrick living at Ballymacward townland and a farmer.

Like I said in my first post I have a DNA match with someone on Ancestry and we are trying to find out what our connection is, she has a Patrick Gavan born Ireland (she thinks he came from Tyrone) married to a Nancy Lovering in Devon England but thats all she knows about him. Soooo I noticed the name Gavan and thought it could be a mispell of Gavin which would fit in with my Gavins, I have all the info on my grans side and her brother Patrick who was born in Galway and married Mary Daly in Mountbellew then moved up north to Blackwatertown. I am trying to find info on the Patrick Gavan who was born 1925 (on his death cert)  to see if its a connection with my Patrick Gavin who I am guessing is his son but as you know guessing can be dangerous so I am now looking for more info on Patrick (born 1925 died in Devon )
