I am looking at Sophia Lewis  1795-1885 apparently born in whitchurch herefordshire  / dixton monmouthshire 

She married 1821 in dixton monmouthshire  ??

To a Thomas howells 1792-1871

I am trying to find out who her parents were please

Any information welcome

Have you checked censusrecords? Found the family in Dixton 1861 census. In some census records parents could be living with relatives.

1841  same place there is also a son Thomas aged 15/16 so born circa 1825/26 - carpenter

Thomas senior died between 1861 and 1871 as his wife Sophia 70 born Whitchurch Herefordshire
is living with her married daughter Sophia Lewis and her husband Stephen in Tregare.

Thomas died 1862 aged 69 reg. Monmouth.  so born circa 1791/2

Sophia died 1885 aged 90 so born circa 1795 - However her birth varies 1841 age 40 circa 1801

but ages are rounded that year.  1851 age 55 so circa 1795.  1861 age 60 - circa 1800/1801

Henry 28 May 1828 - not with parents on census - died?
Mary 9 February 1832
Sophia 24 January 1836

Perhaps they could help with questions about Thomas Howells and Sophia Lewis baptism.

They married 1821 Docklow Herefordshire ref: Find My Past

 but they do not have an image so it maybe that banns were called there.
