His name was Andrew ( not Thomas Henry )
Henry claimed to be a bachelor when he married Mary Edwards.

A better option - this burial would fit with Sarah being age 28 in the 1861 census

Sarah Davies -

Now that’s what I thought - I knew I had seen ‘Davis’ somewhere.

However, 1861 has Margaret J, 6 months born Salford.

1871 4017 /108/28
Margaret Jackson 10yrs with Andrew and Mary is born Manchester.

Margaret Jane Jackson b 1860, Manchester mmn Davies

Same census
Robert Jackson b 1862, Salford has mmn Edwards

‘His name was Andrew ( not Thomas Henry ) and he claimed to be a bachelor when he married Mary Edwards’

I am referring to the child, Thomas H in 1861 with parents Andrew and Mary

Perhaps Andrew registered the birth of Margaret Jane and got muddled.

Yes, perhaps.

I can’t see a baptism but there is one - 1865 for Mary Jackson mmn Edwards (births).
She is not with the family in 1871 and there is a possible infant death.

Good afternoon Monica,  Thanks for your assistance.  I dont feel confident about the Spotland link just now.  The link from Neal1961 seems much more plausible and going down that line for now.  Probably totally wrong!!
