Redmarley & Dursley area Glos
« on: Sunday 02 April 23 16:17 BST (UK) »
Does anyone have knowledge of these areas please?

I have family at "Upper Silver Street Farm" Dursley in 1939 and a probate entry from 1975 which mentions the address
"Green Gables" Redmarley

Am hoping the farm at least may still be in existence.  I remember visiting relations at a farm in that area when I was small but can't be sure it was that one.

Any snippets of information gratefully received.  Thank you.

Thanks for those snippets Capetown.

Interesting about the fine for rationed food.

It would have been early to mid 1970’s when I visited.  The relative I remember was the wife of Ernest - Annie Jane known as Jen who was my grandfathers sister.

So it's just a matter of tying down where she was living around that time.
