« on: Monday 03 April 23 21:16 BST (UK) »
Late Monday evening and no-one seems to have started the diary thread for this week so here it is for anyone who wants to join in.  :)

It's been another lovely sunny day here, all the spring flowers are starting to bloom. Hope everyone has been enjoying some good weather wherever in the world.

Looked at the lawn this morning and wondered if it was too wet for the mower or would I have to borrow a couple of sheep to get it down to a reasonable height! :D

Not too bad however and so I managed to cut half way- no point in overdoing things.  rj

Well this nice day must have brought the lawn mowers out,  I normally mow the lawn  but it has been so wet that it got left, low and behold my OH  did it, I will have to do the edges tomorrow  if it is warm enough.

Got a busy week this week, searching  for a car plus other things, find that stressful enough not knowing  what car to get, I am quite tall and I was sitting  in my daughters car and found I can't see the end of the bonnet,  or nose, so that model is out, I think more modern models that is the way the bonnet  drops away.

Viktoria, hope you son arrived home OK.

Take care

I hope you intend to test drive any car you are considering, it is most important, vision and access to the various controls while driving is quite different to when stationary.

My OH and I were both tall, my OH the tallest, when buying cars we both test drove them to be sure that we found one that suited both of us.

Good luck with your search.

Morning all. I'm a bit under the weather as I think I have tonsilitis . I've had it many times before so I filled in an electronic consult thing and am waiting to hear back from the doctors as to if they'll guve me antibiotics as they've done before. They'll reply by Wednesday 6.30 pm they say.

LM have you considered a ford c max (discontinued) or a ford puma? I ask because my oh needs a higher car for entry into it and found those a good height. Bigger than your previous car though which is a pain for parking.

We had a look for a car yesterday,  all  seem to have long bonnets, my Fusion doesn't
Oh yes, we will test drive any car we  might like to try.
B max looked one yesterday but the one we saw had a glass roof and a slider to close it, don't really want that but the B max looked quite good, discontinued now.
The young man was reckless and now it will cost us mega bucks to replace my car, my brother said don't get a car 6,7 or 8 years old, if you have another accident  you  will be in the same position as you are  now with an insurance that might want to write it off, cheerful soul my brother??, this is the  first time I have had any problem with an accident,  been  driving since 1966 and in the day drove all over the place on  my own.
My extra pension won't cover a replacement car, ha!  ha!
I have a couple of nice visitors today so that will  cheer me up,  never felt so stressed in all  my life
Arranged to keep my fusion till next Tuesday, that will  see me over my Easter commitments
Beautiful day here, back door open, must be warm as my OH   feels the cold normally  and would close it
Have a good  day

Last week I made  an appt to  change over my Barclays account  to Lloyd's , Barclays recently closed, now Lloyd's is to close, no going  back the cashier told me today, so I have cancelled my appt,  if I have to go to the nearest town for Lloyd's I might as well have the barclays  account  there as well, I feel really annoyed that some senior citizens, will have problems, we don't have a post office now, closed 4 weeks ago,  what is it all coming  to?..

LM, if you're still driving your car that must mean it's safe to drive so sounds like it's just cosmetic damage.  You could get a garage of your choice to give you a price for the repairs, if reasonable you could buy it back from the insurance company with what they pay you then get it repaired yourself. Just because it's an insurance write off doesn't mean it can't be repaired and driven again.

R B, it is an 09 reg and I have thought that I would  only be driving  short journeys, soon it will  need 3 new tyres plus something  else my husband mentioned was wrong , never had any problems with it and it would have seen us out as it were, we did consider that,  we did have a quote from a garage  just for the repair and not the things mentioned above , either way it will  cost us.
Sure it will all be worked out, just stressful
